The BEST Camera …

Is the one you have with you.

The other evening we went to a Lobster Bake fundraiser of our County Historical Society.  It was being held at the Port Charlotte Beach Park at the end of Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte, FL.ExhibitionNow, what with all that finger, or whole hand food, rushing wait staff and a table covered with butter, lobster, mussel and clam shells, and the other accoutrements of diving in to and  actually consuming lobster it didn’t seem like a  good time to take a lot of camera gear for a few snapshots.  By the time I was done with the lobster and corn the term Butterfingers was the perfect description.

So, I took along my pocketable old Nikon Coolpix P7100 for a few snapshots.

While I was looking over the auction items and door prizes I noticed that there was a fair bit of color through the windows overlooking the beach.  Going outside, I discovered a GREAT SW Florida Sunset.

About birds n' bugs

Retired, living in SW Florida and spending my time at nature photography in my local area. I volunteer with a couple of local organizations to help my adopted home town. Travelling is now by airplane and car instead of a sailboat but happy anyway.
