Weekly Photo Challenge: Purple II

A couple more shots on the purple theme. The first two are wildflowers found at the Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management Area in Punta Gorda FL.

The one on the left is a  Meadow Beauty and the one on the right Narrowleaf Blue-eyed Grass.  The Meadow Beauty is usually a bit paler but, there are a few darker ones I find around a pond in the WMA.  The final purple shot is completely different.  A purple painted Hot Rod from a benefit car show at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda.

About birds n' bugs

Retired, living in SW Florida and spending my time at nature photography in my local area. I volunteer with a couple of local organizations to help my adopted home town. Travelling is now by airplane and car instead of a sailboat but happy anyway.

  1. I thought the flower on the left looked familiar. We have them here in Palm Beach county too. I have seen them near canals…

  2. I love the hot rod photo! It made me laugh, too, because my youngest daughter informed me this morning that when she grows up, she will have a purple car with pink flames on it! NO idea where that random thought came from… haha!
